Biography.
Indianapolis native Maria Diebolt has been pouring her heart into music since age 9. As a full time musician, she spends her days writing and her nights performing. Whether it’s an acoustic duo or a full band, Maria continually bonds with her audience, delivers powerful vocals, and aims to forge new connections every time. Her sound draws inspiration from Ariana Grande’s bold, r&b influenced style, and Taylor Swift’s catchy and relatable lyrics. And though she can go multi-genre when needed, pop music will forever sing in her heart. Other similar artists to Maria include Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, and Sabrina Carpenter.
As a songwriter, Maria has been recognized in several national and international songwriting competitions, which has inspired her to continue growing as a writer and an artist. "Songwriting is what connects an artist to their audience and I strive to create art for people to relate to and also help them feel a sense of belonging and self-worth," explained Maria. Maria is no stranger to the stage, she began performing at the age of 3 and started songwriting around age 9. She has captivated audiences big and small, experiencing one of her most memorable performances to date at the Circle of Lights Christmas tree lighting celebration in Indianapolis, performing for over 100,000 people as well as a live television audience. Maria is a seasoned National Anthem singer, having performed extensively for sports teams and organizations, including the Indiana Pacers, Chicago White Sox, the PGA, Indiana Fever, Indy Fuel, Indy Eleven, and many more. She has nearly 100 National Anthems under her belt to date.
In 2023, Maria spent the entire year either performing onstage, songwriting until the wee hours of the morning, or in the recording studio. She released her four-song EP "Exposed" in July as well as 3 other singles throughout the year.

Maria is a '21 graduate of Butler University where she majored in Music Industry Studies with a minor in Strategic Communication. She is a member of the International Singer Songwriters Association, Women In Music, and Alpha Chi Omega. She performs in and around Indianapolis as a duo act and also performs with the band The Bishops.
