Biography. Indianapolis native Maria Diebolt has been garnering international attention for several years for her insightful songwriting and powerful vocals. She has been performing onstage since the age of 3 and began songwriting at age 10. She has captivated audiences big and small, experiencing her largest crowd to date at the Circle of Lights Christmas tree lighting celebration in Indianapolis, performing for over 100,000 people as well as a live television audience.
As a songwriter, Maria has been recognized in several national and international songwriting competitions. "Boy, Bye" is her latest release and has already won Best Pop Song from World Songwriting Awards in Fall 2020. Her single “We Are” was named a winner in the Great American Song Contest in the Pop/Top 40 category as well as receiving a World Songwriting Award first place in 2019. In 2017, her song “#Peace” was named as a semi-finalist from over 16,000 entries in the International Songwriting Competition. Her single “Shake Up The World” was named a semi-finalist in the internationally acclaimed Unsigned Only Music Competition in both the Top 40/Pop and Teen categories. And in 2014, her first songwriting award was presented to her for her heartfelt ballad “Before You Fly Away”, for which she was given the Award of Honor from the Paramount International Song and Lyric Writing Contest. Maria was also nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Female Single of the Year for “Meant To Be”, Female Rising Star, and Female Songwriter of the Year for the 2019 International Singer Songwriters Association annual awards.
Maria is a seasoned National Anthem singer, having performed extensively for sports teams and organizations, including the Indiana Pacers, Chicago White Sox, the PGA, Indiana Fever, Indy Fuel, Indy Eleven, and many more. She was honored to sing for America Remembers 9/11 for two years and has nearly 100 National Anthems under her belt to date.
Personal. Maria is a '21 graduate of Butler University majoring in Music Industry Studies with a minor in Strategic Communication. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega and the International Singer Songwriters Association. She performs locally as a solo act, duo and also performs with the band The Bishops.
